Rev. Ted Wiard, LPCC, CGC - Founder Golden Willow Retreat

Reverend Ted Wiard along with his wife Reverend Marcella Wiard created Golden Willow from a combined vision of compassion and healing towards all life. Ted is a licensed clinical therapist, certified grief counselor, an ordained minister, a New Mexico certified schoolteacher, and a certified tennis teaching professional. Ted’s passion for working with grief, loss, and resiliency arose from his own personal losses in which he realized there were very few places to go for support and healing from loss.

He has written many articles on the subject of emotional healing and has worked at prestigious places such as Betty Ford Center about grief, loss and the connection/disconnection of spirituality in loss, addiction and relapse prevention. As a Clinical Supervisor for TeamBuilders Counseling Services, Ted works with children and their families in need of mental health services and community support. Ted is sought out for speaking engagements internationally and throughout the country. His inspirational and dynamic message offers the audience new avenues of healing.

Jim Lengerich, MA in Counseling, Spiritual Care Counselor

Jim holds a Masters Degree in Counseling and has been working with individuals and groups for over 12 years. Repeatedly, his experience has shown him the importance of spirituality in a person's journey to health, wholeness and sense of well being. His approach to healing work begins at the Soul or Spirit level of the person and from that point the healing can progress to the mental, emotional and physical levels. He has trained extensively with various indigenous elders, shamans and medicine people from North, Central and South America in the healing potential available from Spirit through ceremony and ritual. The ceremonies and individual work he performs for our clients assists them to awaken to their true essence with a deeper sense of connection to themselves, nature, their families, communities and Spirit. He is an authorized leader and teacher of various Native American traditional ceremonies as well as Soul Retrieval, Past Life Regression, Dream Interpretation and Body Centered Therapy.

Terry Barsano, MA in Counseling, CGC

Terry’s life journey has been one walked hand in hand with grief, trauma, loss and the healing that comes from honoring our pain as well as our joy. Her academic path includes an Associates Degree in Grief Counseling from Elizabeth Kubler-Ross’s program, a BA in University Studies, focused on psychology and sociology, a MA in Counseling focused on grief and loss and currently is a doctoral candidate at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Clinical Psychology. Her greatest educational experience has come from the relationships she has held with those in transitions of many shapes and sizes. Her desire to be present for those finding their way through losses, personal, family, community and even globally, has been joined by her desire to share with other professionals as well as non-professionals, her passion and knowledge. From end of life experiences she has shared with the dying, to the fear and identity loss of the living, her ability to sit in the presence of heartache, bliss, loneliness, guilt, confusion, hope and hopelessness has given her gifts few are honored to receive.

We can become blocked physically, emotionally , and energetically by our life experiences and circumstances. Supporting the opening of these restrictions, with massage , energy work and exploring expressing allows us to more fully experience our true selves. May we all become more conscious beings so that we may live our lives fully , truthfully, and awakened
